Clear Surgical works collaboratively with NHS Scotland and UK surgeons to develop new innovations that arise from healthcare professionals. Clear Surgical are introducing novel technologies such as the Oplight illuminated retractor and the Combination Forceps alignment tool to the marketplace and are developing a range of new innovative products to complement the current technologies.
Phil Harris, CEO
Phil has worked in a wide variety of manufacturing organisations for over 30 years, with the last 13 as Managing Director. During his career, he has worked in every business function at all levels providing a unique insight into the complexities of manufacturing organisations.
Since 1980 he has been leading strategic change at board level and has led transformation projects around the world.He now has significant experience with company acquisitions and exits having led an MBO of a £26m company in 2004, further UK acquisition and merger, sale of three manufacturing companies in Australia, Switzerland and UK, and 5 selling companies around the world.
George Dryburgh, Commercial Manager
Commercial Manager with a wide experience of the medical market for both capital equipment and disposables. He has successfully sold into the UK, Ireland & European Markets; both public and private. As a territory manager was salesperson of the year and as a regional sales manager provided over performance departmental results consistently.
Victoria Kinloch, Office Manager
Victoria joined Clear Surgical Ltd in June 2018 as Office Manager to manage the Administrative side to the business. With 20 years’ experience Victoria is a versatile and efficient Office Administrator with skills acquired through a wide variety of demanding roles.
Victoria started her own Driver Training business and enjoyed a successful 3 years, but missed an office environment. Victoria likes to spend time with her husband, two children and their dog Molly, walking and having fun.
Mollie McFarlane, Design & Innovation Specialist
Mollie graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a first class honours degree in Physics. Her interests lie in the biomedical applications of physics, specifically medical diagnosis using nanotechnology. Mollie joined Clear Surgical in July 2018 as a Development and Innovation Specialist working on the Oplight system. She looks forward to beginning her PhD studentship in Biophotonics commencing October 2018.
