Sharon joined the Clear Surgical team in 2020 as Office Manager bringing with her a commercial background in retail but most recently in town centre management.
A large part of her career was with British Home Stores where she held a number of operational and sales roles allowing her to see many aspects of the business before moving into the position of Regional Support Manager. In this role, Sharon was the support mechanism between stores, head office and field staff helping them to communicate robustly whilst working effectively and efficiently as one team.
Following the closure of British Home Stores in 2016, she decided to turn a long time hobby and passion into a business, and retrained as a florist and ran a small business from home, something she continues with on a small scale even today.
In 2018, she then moved to Falkirk Delivers which is a business improvement initiative delivering town centre management and support to the local business community. Here, she worked in partnership with the local council, emergency services and third sector agencies along with local businesses to help make Falkirk a safe, clean and inviting place for both locals and visitors to enjoy through project management and securing additional funding for the town.
It has been business as usual at Clear Surgical, and you can be assured that we are here for you as you hopefully begin to see some business recovery from the effects of the COVID pandemic.
One of the major impacts from the pandemic was that elective surgeries were postponed until healthcare systems could deal with the workload resulting from COVID patients. We know that many countries are now planning elective surgeries once again and have increased the normal volume of procedures in an effort to expedite catch up and reduce the back log as quickly as possible.
In order to accommodate this increase in elective procedures, many hospitals and clinics are creating temporary operating rooms, some of which are not custom built for surgical procedures, and therefore, do not have optimal lighting available. Based on a survey conducted at the National Association of Spinal Surgeons, 94% of surgeons agree that lighting in the cavity could improve surgery and reduce risk and 100% of surgeons believe there is always room for improvement. So we can only imagine the challenges that these temporary operating rooms will present for our surgeons.
This of course, creates an excellent opportunity for the Oplight which was designed precisely for surgical situations that require increased light to the cavity, and so will compensate for any lighting inefficiencies our surgeons will face.
Clear Surgical is here to support your business in any way we can to take advantage of this increased demand, so make sure you don’t miss out, and get in contact with us as soon as possible to plan your next order.
The Team at Clear Surgical.
