The team at Clear Surgical, a surgical equipment company based in Scotland, are bringing the OpLight™ across the pond and attending the Florida International Medical Expo (FIME).
The OpLight™ is a revolutionary, single-use, sterile, disposable light source. It provides direct light into cavities during surgery due to its ability to be affixed to existing surgical instruments, eradicating shadowing from overhead lighting systems.
This year the Florida International Medical Expo takes place at the Orange County Convention Centre, Orlando, Florida, from the 17th to the 19th of July. This exhibition welcomes over 21,723 medical and healthcare trade professionals from all across the globe. At Clear Surgical, we’re very excited to attend and showcase our innovative product – The OpLight™.
As a surgical equipment company, Clear Surgical understands the limitations of some existing equipment. Studies have suggested that 25% of surgical time is spent adjusting lights, with one minute of operating time costing, on average, £15. For a 60-minute operation, this means £225 is spent adjusting lighting. The Clear Surgical OpLight™ eradicates this issue of modifying the overhead light source, as the OpLight™ will illuminate exactly what the surgeon needs to see when operating.
